Dan Nelson is a professional artist and art instructor with degrees from Calvin College and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

A freelance illustrator since 1977, Dan is currently the president of Wall Masters of NC, Inc., a mural painters association. Dan is a three-time winner and twice featured artist of the Raleigh Street Painting Festival and was the coordinator for the 2006 Raleigh Street Painting Festival.

For the past 10 years, he has been heard on the “Love Zone” in over 50 cities nationwide and the Caribbean via ABC radio networks and has emerged one of the most formable evening personalities in the country.

Cheraw Has Jazz!
Downtown Cheraw is the perfect place to celebrate a day alive with jazz and the arts with family and friends. Try your skills at being the next famous madonnari (that’s Italian for a street painter) or enjoy a sample of Dizzy’s favorite sweet potato pie or salt peanuts. And to top it off, there’ll be plenty of food available at area restaurants and from a variety of food vendors. No coolers please.
