The Honeycomb Jazz Orchestra is a “little big band” composed of 10 instrumentalists. Their repertoire spans both traditional and modern jazz, delivering the powerful sound of a big band in a more compact ensemble. Charlton Singleton is a Grammy Award-winning American musician, trumpeter, composer, arranger, and bandleader from Awendaw, South Carolina. Beginning musical studies at age three, he graduated from South Carolina State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance and has taught music at various levels. Singleton co-founded the Charleston Jazz Orchestra in 2008 and is a core member of the Grammy-winning quintet Ranky Tanky. He leads his own ensembles, tours internationally, and has served as the MOJA Arts Festival’s Artistic Director since 2023.
